Overnight oats are one of my favourite breakfasts, for many reasons. Firstly, the convenience of being able to prep it the night before. You can also make them in so many different varieties, and they are sooo tasty!! These overnight oat recipes are some of my favourite go-to’s!
I’ve taken three of my favorite flavor combinations and tried them on overnight oats, they turned out amazing! The chocolate orange one is like a breakfast dessert! When making this recipe, I recommend using oats that aren’t too fine grain, that way they can properly soak and expand overnight.
- 30g Oats
- Unsweetened almond milk
- Fat free greek yogurt
- Chia seeds
- 1 scoop of protein (optional)
Banana Peanut Butter:
- Half a banana (mashed up)
- 1 small spoon peanut butter
- Half an apple (grated)
- 1tsp Cinnamon
- 1tsp caocao powder
- 1/2tsp orange zest
In a Kilner Jar, or any container, add your oats and your choice of flavor duo.
Next, add a heap spoon of the fat free yogurt (not essential, but it gives it a creamier texture) and 1 tsp of chia seeds. Drizzle with honey to add some sweetness, or agave.
Finally, pour over the almond milk until it covers the oats, and mix well.
You’re done! Pop it in the fridge overnight and just grab a spoon in the morning!
